Below you will find the information according to Art. 13 GDPR about the processing of personal data for (1) the application for and (2) management (accounting in particular) of third-party funded projects (like ELIZA).

- The following Personal Data will be collected and processed:
- Contact information
- Banking information
- Date & place of birth
- Gender
- Nationality
- Country of origin (the last country the ELIZA student lived in, before commencing studies in ELIZA)
- Destination country (in case of planned foreign stay supported by ELIZA)
- Academic information, including area of study and degree programme(s)
- Information on the participation in ELIZA’s research, educational, and networking program from the yearly and final reports (see Supplemental Agreement)
- Purpose and Legal Basis for the Processing:
The purpose of the processing are payments made in conjunction with the scholarship of the Zuse School ELIZA, the creation of statistical cohort analyses for ELIZA, as well as the monitoring and evaluation of the Zuse School ELIZA by the Deutsche Akademische Austauschdienst (DAAD) and the funding programme “Konrad Zuse Schools of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence”. The processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 a GDPR and Art. 7 GDPR.
- Recipient of Personal Data:
Your personal data, or subsets thereof will not be transferred to a country outside the EU or the EEA. However, they may be transferred to one or multiple of the following organizations:
- Deutsche Akademische Austauschdienst (DAAD).
- Technische Universität Berlin
- Technische Universität Darmstadt
- Universität des Saarlandes
- Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg
- Eberhard Karls-Universität Tübingen
- Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg

- Your personal data will be stored in accordance with the statutory provisions for as long as is necessary for the fulfilment of the above-mentioned purposes and for as long as statutory retention obligations exist.
- According to the GDPR you have the following rights:
- You have the right to obtain information about your personal data.
- You have the right to have your personal data corrected by us.
- You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
- You have the right to restrict the processing by us or to request the deletion of your personal data if the processing is no longer necessary (at the latest 10 years after the end of the project).
- You have the right to receive your personal data in a common machine-readable form or to have it transferred by us.
- You have the right to complain to the competent supervisory authority in case of data protection problems.
