Research stay scholarships & travel funding for ELLIS PhD students - Application form for becoming an Associated ELIZA PhD student

Please make sure to have a single PDF file (max. file size: 10 MB) prepared containing:
  • curriculum vitae
  • relevant undergraduate or graduate transcript
  • if applicable, your admissions letter from the ELIZA/ELLIS institution you applied to
  • ELLIS Co-Supervision agreement and ELLIS acceptance email, if you are an ELLIS PhD student, if you are not an ELLIS PhD student we need some form of proof or confirmation of both of your supervisors, that they are your supervisors
  • letter(s) of recommendation (optional)

Please use the following naming convention for your PDF file:  year-month-day-LastName_FirstName.pdf (e.g., 2023-10-15_Doe_Jane.pdf).

You need to comply with all DAAD stipend rules (see DAAD FAQ). In particular, ELIZA scholarships can not be combined with other scholarships, you have to decide for one. ELIZA scholarships are compatible with other forms of income, but any income above the threshold defined in the DAAD rules (see "Am I allowed to take on a part-time job as a scholarship holder in Germany?")  are deducted from the monthly scholarship payment.
