Research stay scholarships for ELLIS PhD students Application Form

Please make sure to have a single PDF file (max. file size: 10 MB) prepared containing:

motivation letter
curriculum vitae
relevant undergraduate or graduate transcript
if applicable, your admissions letter from the ELIZA/ELLIS institution you applied to
ELLIS Co-Supervision agreement and ELLIS acceptance email
letter(s) of recommendation (optional)

Please use the following naming convention for your PDF file: year-month-day-LastName_FirstName.pdf (e.g., 2023-10-15_Doe_Jane.pdf).

You need to comply with all DAAD stipend rules (see DAAD FAQ). In particular, ELIZA scholarships can not be combined with other scholarships, you have to decide for one. ELIZA scholarships are compatible with other forms of income, but any income above the threshold defined in the DAAD rules (see "Am I allowed to take on a part-time job as a scholarship holder in Germany?") are deducted from the monthly scholarship payment.
